Steve Grizzell is a 20-year veteran in entrepreneurship, finance, innovation and economic development. His experience began in the mid-1980s when he consulted for Global Payments and World Bank U.S. Agency for International Development. To date, Steve has been directly responsible for more than 200 transactions, the majority involving technology-based companies. He maintains regular communication with some of the more significant companies in which he has invested, which provides a wealth of experience on matters such as fund raising, board formation and personnel recruitment. Steve is sits on numerous boards including the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds (NASVF) and serves on the boards of the Wasatch Venture Fund, MountainWest Venture Group and Utah Valley Entrepreneur Forum. Steve has consulted around the world in countries such as Morocco, Norway, Romania, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. He holds an MBA from the University of Utah, a Masters of Computer Applications in Education from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and a BS in Anthropology from Michigan State. Steve speaks Indonesian and is an avid skier.
Scott Stenberg joined UTFC in 1997 as controller and now serves as CFO. He helps assess the credit worthiness of small businesses and advise portfolio companies on their accounting processes. He began his career working in a public accounting firm, where he assisted small businesses through audits and other accounting procedures. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Stenberg worked as an internal auditor for the University of Utah. Scott graduated from Weber State University with a Master of Professional Accountancy in 1987 and is an active member in the hispanic chamber.
Robert Lund loves the outdoors and can often be found running in 5K and 10K race events even though his times become slower every year. Robert Lund is General Counsel for InnoVentures. Prior to joining InnoVentures in August 2001, he worked for several years with Utah Technology Finance Corporation specializing in general business matters and commercial transactions. Mr. Lund has experience in matters involving contract negotiation, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory matters. He received his Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University Law School in 1996.
